Hospital Rooms
We have 17 private mountain view rooms, complete with free wireless Internet access, TV, phone, bedside table for toiletries, chairs, a couch that converts to a single size bed for overnight guests, a closet for personal belongings, a large walk-in bathroom equipped with a mechanical lift for patient transfer from bed to bathroom, and a bedside control for contacting a member of the staff. On average, the nurse to patient ratio is 1:6 to help ensure personal and attentive high-quality care.
Hospitalist
Our hospitalist group is made up of board-certified physicians and physician assistants with extensive experience in managing acute illnesses and complex medical conditions. They are trained in internal medicine and will be your attending provider during your hospital stay, providing consistent care and communication to ensure a seamless transition all the way through admission to discharge. While you are hospitalized at Barrett Hospital & HealthCare, the hospitalist will visit you in your room each day to check on your condition and answer any questions you have. He or she will be your main point of contact throughout your recovery journey and will coordinate a treatment plan tailored to your needs in partnership with other members of your care team, such as nurses, therapists, surgeons, and others. When you are ready to leave the hospital, the hospitalist will communicate with your primary care physician to provide an overview of your stay and instructions for further care. If you do not have a primary care provider, the hospitalist will help you arrange follow-up care.
Barrett Hospital & HealthCare partners with Access TeleCare for nighttime teleHospitalist coverage, providing comprehensive care from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. The board-certified teleHospitalists provide the same level of clinical excellence and attentiveness of our daytime, in-person hospitalists through clear live video and audio. Access TeleCare teleHospitalists diagnose symptoms for admission, discharge, and make any necessary referrals for specialty care needs. You can learn more about teleHospitalists here:
